Paintings of Leicestershire and beyond, Landscape Paintings:  Vivien Blackburn

I paint plein air  in  Cornwall, Norfolk and Leicestershire in oil paint, watercolour, mixed media, pencil, coloured pencil or charcoal.  These sketches may become paintings in their own right.  They are usually A3 or smaller, often 10-12 inches square as it's a format that works well with my imagery.

In the studio I  work further, abstracting images, working in oil on large canvasses, with time to build layers of paint and develop a painting over a longer time.

Printmaking:  Ideas are developed in print, collagraphs, monoprints, etchings, drypoint and digital imagery.
